Position Available









Full time salaried position as a Financial Economist available immediately. Base salary competitive; large bonus potential.

 

Responsibilities 

 

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  Identifying key economic and financial issues and developing relevant analytic frameworks Designing and building financial and quantitative models Applying statistical and econometric methods to economic and financial data Collecting market, industry, company, demographic and other information Reviewing, summarizing and analyzing industry trends Coding software routines to implement complex analyses Preparing memos, expert reports, trial exhibits and other presentation materials Presenting results in a clear and articulate manner for a lay audience Helping expert witnesses prepare to deliver testimony

 Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Engineering or Economics.  Experience in a consulting environment is a significant positive.  Candidates who hold an MA or MS in Finance or Economics may be considered if they have exceptional job experience.   Professional and academic should provide a solid foundation in:

  Finance Mathematical & quantitative methods Statistics Microeconomics Industrial organization & antitrust (not required but strongly preferred)

 

Ability to use statistical software, such as Stata, SAS or Mathematica, is required.  Familiarity with SQL is strongly preferred.  Candidates must be detail-oriented, extremely careful, have the ability to think analytically and critically, and have excellent oral and written communications skills.
