Major Duties and Functions Include: We are currently seeking a PMO Manager to manage the Business Management Office for Institutional IT Service Center Systems. This manager will be a key member of the Control and Compliance team, responsible for providing leadership and direction on financial and vendor management for an IT AD team with 200 associates that service our group customers representing a $40M+ budget. Responsibilities: Manage the BMO team of two associates and up to two temps Support leadership of SCS team including 2 VPs, 2 AVPs, 7 Directors and 30+ Managers to provide financial and vendor management consultation and guidance Manage a budget of approximately $40 million dollars Communicate financial results to business partners and participate in planning and governance Lead by example and motivate his/her staff and business partners for success. Additionally, the PMO Manager will also manage the following key process areas: Purchasing and invoice management, including purchase requests, purchase order tracking, invoice processing, accruals, and associated analysis and reporting Budgeting and forecasting management, including monthly forecasting, associated analysis and reporting, and assisting 30+ managers with revenue and expense forecasting Time entry management, including compliance for up to 200 associates and associated analysis and reporting. Monthly project and program status reporting, including coordination with AD managers, business partners, and Institutional PMO and BMO teams. Provide leadership, partnership and management for annual strategic planning working closely with technology and business leaders to develop annual technology budget. Required Competencies: The PMO Manager will be responsible for all planning and support of financial and program portfolio. The selected candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a management capacity within a large corporate environment and at least 5 years of experience in a financial analysis or management role. Additionally, he/she will have strong demonstrated success and proven competencies in the following areas: General Management Financial Planning & Budgeting Running a $40M+ budget/business within a Fortune 100 organization Financial Management and Control Managing purchase requests and invoice processing for software and IT Offshore Vendors Business Strategy Assisting management with development of comprehensive strategic business and IT plans that are fully integrated Communication/Presence Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with both business and technology subjects Discussing complex business issues with executive management Execution Ability to work in fast paced, deadline driven environment Ability to manage multiple priorities and direct others on multiple tasks Ability to demonstrate sound business decision making and critical thinking Flexibility and adaptability in dealing with others and changing business environment People Management People management including hiring, performance management and team building Directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Strong focus on developing next generation of leaders Relationship Management Relationship building with business partners and vendors. Representing the IT organization with external parties including vendors Technology Project Management experience a plus Planning, system development and systems integration in a very large, complex financial services firm. Technology Skills required Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project PeopleSoft Time Entry, Khalix budgeting system, forecasting and resource management systems An undergraduate degree is required, an advanced degree, such as an MBA is preferred What You Need to Succeed: Ability and past exp in doing financial management and forecasting for 30+ project managers within an IT PMO. Ability and past exp in creating as well as teaching pivot tables within excel Must have people management background Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
