Financial Planning Specialist
Responsibilities The Financial Planning Specialist is within the Financial Planning Group will be a key resource for advanced planning and system implementation issues of LPL Advisors using preferred financial planning system, LPL WealthVision. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning, the Financial Planning Specialist will work closely with individual LPL Advisors assisting with system implementation, client configuration, advisor and client data set-up, and planning illustration design. Training of new and existing LPL users will be required and will include travel on an as needed basis. LPL Advisor conference participation and training will be an important area of responsibility as will the training and support of home-office LPL employees. The Financial Planning Specialist must be able to work on a broad range of projects simultaneously and be willing to travel. • Tactical support of advanced planning and practice management questions related to LPL WealthVision. • Provide in-practice training on advanced planning techniques using WealthVision as well as planning practice management consulting for new and existing users. • Assist Advisors via phone on Financial Planning solutions. • Organize and facilitate user conference calls covering broad range of topics including system positioning, marketing, pricing, best practices, etc. • Partner with the LPL Technical Support Help Desk to help maintain high level of customer service. • Work closely with FPG colleagues to maintain high level of planning competency using WealthVision. • Partner with LPL Marketing to ensure appropriate planning system collateral and support communications are developed, delivered and maintained. • Partner with FPG colleagues in project management support of platform/integration initiatives that will impact LPL advisors. Qualifications • A minimum of five years of practical financial planning experience is required in addition to knowledge of eMoney Advisor planning applications. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively present to/communicate with large groups. • Sound judgment and decisiveness and grace under pressure. • Ability to set priorities • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an environment of teamwork and collaboration • Ability to work independently, stay focused and deliver results • Track record of delivering high quality work and results • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or related field preferred. • CFP designation and securities licenses 7,66,65,24 strongly preferred We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.
