We have an extraordinary talent base, and we invite you to consider ICMA-RC ' an opportunity to Reach Your Peak.Primary Objective and Purpose:This position is primarily responsible for the daily analysis, research and processing of IRA, RHS and VP transactions and correspondence. It is expected that this associate will continuously analyze current operating procedures and processes for improvement and efficiency. This analyst will be working in multiple capacities and functions so a broad-based knowledge of financial services and operations is preferred. This analyst must have strong customer service skills and a commitment to quality.This position also requires leadership skills for oversight responsibilities in the absence of the SPT management, to attend meetings in the supervisor's or manager's absence and to represent the team on various task forces. This position is also expected to initiate and organize annual tax reporting and quarterly statement validation.Essential Functions: ' Assure timely and accurate processing of all IRA requests and transactions. This includes, but is not limited to, enrollments, indicative data changes, fund transfers, contributions, transfers, conversions and distributions. Using analytical skills, apply appropriate rules for acceptance of requests, communicating any issues to investors/employers by phone and/or mail. Generate and review appropriate confirmations and other correspondence. Review daily control reports and reconcile as necessary. Facilitate cash handling through DCS functionality. Contact investors or other financial institutions for clarification of issues or to ensure the correct handling of accounts.' Oversight of annual 1099-R and 5498 tax reporting and IRA Fee processing. This includes requesting necessary ad hoc reports, programming electronic filing, validation and mailing. Also responsible for generation of quarterly VantagePoints statements and annual awards, oversight of IRA statement validation and MRD notification.' Active involvement in process improvement for the IRA, VP and RHS products. Active involvement in reviewing and documenting operating procedures, developing processing efficiencies and quality improvements. ' Assure timely and accurate processing of Vantagepoints Rewards and Retirement Health Savings requests and transactions. This includes but is not limited to updating VP eligibility and criteria tables, processing reimbursement requests, checking daily RHS reports, and RHS disbursements. ' Research, analyze and resolve account issues including appropriate documentation and communication to investor within expected time frames.
