Fixed Income Operations Analyst

Successful New York City-based Fund-of-Hedge-Funds (“FOHF”) with $2 BN under management is looking to hire back-office/operations personnel to assist with:

 Daily trade and position balancing, reconciliation and exception processing. Position and trade monitoring. Verbal or signed trade confirmation with brokers and other counterparties. Daily calculation and compilation of trader/fund P&L. Monitor and reconcile cash flows and positions on a daily or weekly basis, as required. Creation of fund MTM reports on complex derivative transactions. Interface with sales, internal/external traders, accounting, legal, compliance and potentially investors. Month-end balancing, reconciliation and exception processing. Monitoring credit limits by fund in certain free-settlement businesses. Developing and implementing automation solutions to capture processing efficiencies. Trade capture for risk and P&L reporting. Breakdown and booking of complex derivative and structured transactions for ticketing, risk management and P&L reporting. Verification of all trade details for funding, settlement, documentation, and risk and P&L reporting.

 

The role is to ensure that profitability and risk are appropriately managed, maintained and reported.  The ideal individual will understand the strategy of the funds and be able to help complete analyses that influence portfolio investments. Investments include, but are not limited to, corporate bonds, bank loans, swaps, reverser repos, futures and options.  The candidate must have a significant amount of spreadsheet and similar numerical analyses.
