Investment Banking Operations

IB Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that ensures trades are settled in a timely, cost efficient manner, that risk is minimized and that the client experience is a pleasant one.  Spread across multiple product areas (Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance & Foreign Exchange Operations, Loans, Trust and Securities, as well as cross functional entities) IB Operations strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively.  It meets the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.

 

Job Description:

The primary functions performed include:

 Trade Capture – ensuring all trades are properly captured by DB’s in house system and where necessary, manually entered. Pre-Settlement Trade Matching – ensuring the client is made aware of all unmatched trades with the Executing Brokers Front office to Back office Reconciliations (FOBO’s) – ensuring that the clients positions in the F/O systems fully reconcile to the firm’s books and records. Settlement confirmation and issue resolution – ensuring trades clear properly on the contractual settlement date. Fail reporting – ensuring all fail trades are reported timely to the client. Corporate Action announcements – ensuring all announcements are sent timely to our clients, with proper follow-up to ensure client requests are properly made.

 

Skills Required:Strong PC Skills are an absolute must. Effective communicator Takes direction well – can quickly pickup what is taught and engage in the function Problem solver – able to learn from examples and apply towards future issues Commitment – needs to understand that clients are our most important asset. Need to meet their demands regardless of the effort. Accountability/Reliability

Preferred:Two years of securities operation experience. The applicant should have industry experience in US market practice and/or various European markets (settlement cycles, currencies, depot/custodian agents).

 Qualifications :College degree preferred - BS, BA (does not have to be business major) Dividend experience preferred. Very good written and oral communication skills to communicate with NY. Ability to train others Candidate should be ambitious and possess drive
