Fixed Income Service Trader I

Fixed income securities remain a cornerstone for the portfolio of most Edward Jones' clients. The Fixed Income Service Department is seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Service Specialist. Responsibilities include working with our branch offices to provide accurate, technical, operational, and educational information for fixed income related investments; including CDs, corporate, government, municipal, and mortgage-backed securities. In addition, qualified candidates will have the challenge of determining market levels for fixed income securities, as well as executing sell orders versus firm and other broker/dealer positions. If you are ready to join this fast paced, dynamic area, this will be an excellent opportunity.Responsibilities Provide accurate technical, operational, and procedural information through branch phone calls and wires regarding fixed income markets; including CDs, corporate, government, municipal, and mortgage-backed securities. Understand and be able to educate and explain market dynamics and information regarding fixed income products. Provide A++ service to branch offices and other home office areas. Accurately calculate fixed income market levels and execute client orders. Understand and work within strict industry regulations and laws. Develop and maintain key relationships with branch office associates and the broker/dealer community. Maintain and contribute to the Edward Jones culture.Requirements Bachelor's degree in business or finance preferred. Series 7 and 66 required. Strong presentation, written, verbal, and listening skills required. Detail oriented with excellent customer service skills and a high level of proficiency in mathematics is essential. Must have an understanding of fixed income securities, the interest rate environment, and capital markets. Strong problem solving skills necessary. Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities. Ability to learn and work in a dynamic team environment.
