Purpose of Role:

The Associate will:

·  Confirm all deals with appropriate broker or counterparty if required.

·  Communicate all settlement information to the appropriate custodian, and broker.

·  Resolve any trade related queries with both internal and external parties

 

Major Responsibilities:

Regarding multiple asset classes, transaction types and transactions, the Associate will:

·  Interface to custodian and instruct transaction settlement details as needed

·  Interface with brokers and counterparties as needed

·  Monitor and resolve trade fails

·  Know and comply with company policies and procedures

·  Monitor broker/custodian/trader performance through the use of issue logs

·  Identify improvements that can be made to current processes and procedures as discovered

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

·  1 year relevant experience in Operations environment of Investment Management company

·  Knowledge of Mortgage back securities, Treasuries, REPOS, Agencies, Corporate Bonds, Loans etc preferred.

 

Specific Technical Knowledge/

Qualifications:

(Include licenses, registrations, or special skills such as typing, 10 key calculator, programming languages etc, required to perform the job)

·  Spreadsheet skills required

·  Knowledge of Investment Management industry processing standards and regulations

·  Knowledge of Bloomberg, Alert, Oasys, TradeSuite, Portia preferred.
