Fund Accounting Processing Associate (Band 5)

Department Description: As a member of the Alternative Investments fund accounting department, the candidate is responsible for supporting the day to day operations of department that manages the books and records of over 140 different legal entities.  Alternative Investment products supported include Fund of Hedge Funds, Commodity Pools and Exchange Funds. Brief Description: As a Senior Accountant you will report to your Product Manager and the Fund Controller.Job Responsibilities:Production and review of accounting documents supporting the treasury and reporting function for pooled investor funds.  Supporting the accounting for subscriptions and redemptions.  Producing and reviewing external reporting to both clients and internal management throughout the company. Qualifications:BS in Accounting preferred, at least two years Accounting experience required. Excellent verbal and written communications skills including experience communicating with various levels of management.  Flexibility to respond to changing business needs and environment. Abillity to analyze and interpret accounting information, to evaluate appropriateness, and resolve discepancies. Ability to multitask and work within tight timeframes and deliverable deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.  Excellent Excel skills. Ability to formulate decisions and act upon them.
