Fundamental Equity Analyst

Stevens Capital Management L.P. ("SCM") is responsible for the overall portfolio management and trading of a $4+ billion multi-strategy hedge fund with a 20+ year track record of generating outstanding returns for its shareholders.  SCM pursues a wide variety of investing and trading opportunities in virtually all of the world’s liquid financial markets.  Located in suburban Philadelphia and employing more than 70 professionals, we seek talented and motivated individuals for the following position:


 Fundamental Equity Analyst



Primary Responsibilities:Perform fundamental analysis, make investment recommendations and manage a portfolio of individual equities using a value oriented approach and an emphasis on original, bottom-up research.  Monitor ongoing investment opportunities and industry trends.



Requirements of Candidate:Industry specialized securities analysis experience and a network of related industry contacts is preferred.Solid financial modeling and spreadsheet skills.CFA, MBA and/or CPA is a plus.Database skills are a plus.Minimum 4-year undergraduate degree.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Must be a strong self-starter and able to work well independently.Sector specific positions include: Energy, Basic Materials, Industrials, IT.
