GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR
Currently, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF) is seeking a Grants Administrator to join its Grant Research team.
JDRF is the leading charitable funder & advocate for research on type 1 diabetes & its complications. Founded in 1970 by parents to find a cure for diabetes, we have directed more than $1 billion in grants for diabetes research. We aggressively pursue all avenues of science directing more than 80 percent of expenditures to research & research-related education.
The Grants Administrator will provide support for Grant Research team. S/he will ensure that the documentation for each award is maintained in a manner that is compliant with the Foundation’s policy and with auditors’ specifications, maintain the grants management database, and provide departmental reports regarding JDRF funded research. Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Manage program grant portfolio from start to close out.
· Coordinate the review of grants and administrative budget review
· Maintain records of JDRF funded research
· Oversee renewal application process to ensure necessary paperwork for accuracy.
· Process requests for carry-forward of funds and no-cost extensions for Post Docs, etc.
· Interface with applicants, reviewers, and awardees to provide requested information and answer inquiries.
· Prepare payment schedules for grants, process special budgetary requests, and ensure renewal criteria are met
Requirements
We seek candidates with:
· Bachelor’s degree required. Masters education preferred
· Finance background helpful
· 3+ years of grants management and/or finance background required or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Knowledge of and experience in research administration pre and post-award.
· Knowledge of sponsored project related compliance areas including extensive know-how of Federal Regulations such as OMB Circulars A-110, A-21, A-133.
· Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
· Must be capable of working collaboratively with others to meet objectives
· Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
· Ability to work and make judgments independently and take initiative.
· Active listening, analytical, and problem solving skills.
· Effectively multi-task, establishes priorities, and work in a fast paced environment
