Job Description: Global Correspondent Banking - International Division (GCBI) is a relationship-driven division of the International Financial Services Group, building relationships with financial institutions around the world. This group provides US dollar banking products and services, generating both credit and non-credit income. The Global Correspondent Banking Manager for our Asia Region will be responsible for managing the team of Relationship Managers for the region, which covers all of Asia Pacific, including Japan, Korea, southeast Asia, greater China, Australia, New Zealand as well as India.Key responsibilities include working with senior management in developing annual business plans and directing the group in execution of these plans; enhancing an existing portfolio of relationships as well as developing new profitable and meaningful relationships, actively participating in the completion of major transactions; may represent the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships with the most important/key or complex clients.This is a great opportunity to take an existing team to the next level of success, and build a business group and make it 'your own'. Our GCBI group is well integrated into the mainstream of commercial banking at Wells Fargo and identifying and closing cross-sell opportunities is critical to the success of the business.Please note: this position may be located in either our San Francisco head office, or in our Hong Kong location. Minimum Qualifications: - 10 years relevant international correspondent banking and international trade finance/trade services experience- Prior effective management experience is essential- Proven credit experience- Prior experience in building a business, and an entrepreneurial spirit, is critical- The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills; be highly self-motivated and detail oriented; and a strong team player that can focus in on the detail required to successfully take this business group to the next stage. Preferred Skills: - Ideally we are looking for someone with experience living in the region, or who has lived overseas.- A second language would be a plus - particularly Mandarin Chinese.
