IB Operations:

IB Operations is a dynamic and diverse division that ensures trades are settled in a timely, cost efficient manner, that risk is minimised and that the client experience is a pleasant one.  Spread across multiple product areas (Derivatives, Securities, Global Finance & Foreign Exchange Operations, Loans, Trust and Securities, as well as cross functional entities) IB Operations strives to do things smarter, faster and more effectively.  It meets the technical and operational challenges of processing transactions worth hundreds of billions of Euros every day, across multiple time zones in all the major currencies and markets.

 

Introduction to the department:

The Securities Project Services group is an Investment Banking Operations function that provides project management office (PMO) support for Equities, Fixed Income and Commodities Operations across Deutsche Bank.  We have a presence in over 30 countries and operate under a diverse model of on-shore, off-shore and outsourced resources.

 

Main function of the job:

The applicant will be accountable for the delivery of a number of high profile projects and programmes for Fixed Income and Commodities Operations.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

The role involves: Detailed planning of individual change projects as well as long-term roadmaps for a portfolio of changes, in co-ordination with IT Proactive communication with Program Management, the operational/ business user community and stakeholders to identify change requirements based on user needs, current state issues and market initiatives. Collation, analysis and quality check of details behind change requirements to develop business cases Interaction with senior managers, key stakeholders and the programme manager to drive prioritization Coordinating the activities of business analysts to document business requirements Coordination and support to IT during their analysis, development and system testing Planning, preparation and support to operational users during UAT, and – as and when appropriate – performance of testing Coordination with IT and Ops for deployment, including communication & training Post-implementation reviews Controlling and reporting of project timeline and status Conducting communication and reporting sessions with senior stakeholders and project contacts in operations, IT and the Business Excellent English speaking and writing skills

 

Professional and personal qualificationsA proven track record of project management and delivery Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office In depth application of project / programme management skills and experience across the entire systems development lifecycle In depth knowledge of the front to back trade lifecycle, processes associated with financial markets and in particular, extensive exposure to Back Office processing systems and processes A professional, mature approach to project/programme management Ability to influence key decision makers, peer groups and functions outside direct control Confident and able to successfully interact at senior levels across a number of stakeholder groups Excellent communication skills and the ability to excel in a matrix structured working environment
