HR Generalist

One of our clients, an employee owned company located in The Woodlands, seeks a qualified HR Generalist with experience in Employee Relations. The right candidate will have some HR experience the retail environment. The position will be 80% employee relations, with 30-40% travel primarily in Texas, but also some travel to the Eastern region of the US, with a total of 150 branches of the company. This company is upgrading the HR policies and procedures, and there will be a great deal of work by phone with Managers in various locations.

Responsibilities
·  Responsible for training and development of managers with regards to employee relations
·  Investigate employee issues and make recommendations to management
·  Process, review, analyze and communicate with managers with regards to disciplinary action forms and terminations
·  Implement and be responsible for various programs and procedures for all company employees
·  Working knowledge of employment law, government regulations and compliance pertaining to Human Resources
·  Responsible for training and development of managers with regards to employee relations
·  Investigate employee issues and make recommendations to management
·  Process, review, analyze and communicate with managers with regards to disciplinary action forms and terminations
·  Assist with compilation and implementation of Affirmative Action Plan
·  Review and analyze compensation and identify trends and patterns
·  Responsible for developing and making reports available to management
·  Analyze workforce data and make recommendations for action and compliance
·  Review and analyze Workforce claims
·  Assist HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects

Qualifications
·  High school diploma or equivalent
·  Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
·  Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast pace environment
·  5 years experience in employee relations in an HR environment
