HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

The HR Generalist provides support in all Human Resource functional areas (Benefits, Employee Relations, Communications, and Total Rewards), maintains accuracy of data in HRIS system and serves as a single point of contact for all employee relations questions. In partnership with the site management, this position also supports career development of employees.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

· Ensures that other managers and supervisors are assessing development areas, developing coaching plans, and are consistently following up on those plans. Work with the operations leadership team to identify and develop talent.

· Assists in the creation of retention strategies and ensure the execution of retention employee systems with Operations.

· Assists operations in maximizing employee engagement and retention.

· Leads the development of effective employee relation programs. Maintain such programs to foster a positive, development-based culture.

· Investigates and responds to the employee relations issues to ensure a resolution.

· Works closely with operations management to appropriately and effectively drive performance management.

· Communicates compensation, benefits, company policies and procedures, such as ethics, dress code, training schedule, etc to all new employees while conducting all New Hire Orientations.

· Partners with the management staff to ensure consistency with regard to the application of company policies, procedures and to ensure the company complies with all applicable employment laws.

 

Candidates should possess the following:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, Master's degree preferred

· Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources with Generalist HR experience and functional experience

· Proven experience in Leave of Absence Administration, Benefits Administration and HRIS systems

· Knowledge and experience regarding state and federal employment law and EEO regulations

· Proven ability to strategically partner with line clients

· Possesses excellent discretion and judgment

· Effective facilitation and conflict resolution skills

· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities

· Proven project management skills

· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
