Head of Quant Trading - High Frequency - Multi Asset - CHICAGO Head of Quant Trading - Systematic/High Frequency - Multi Asset - CHICAGO:A private trading/investment company are looking to increase their capabilities in the area of high frequency quantitative trading. As a result they require a Head/Lead figure to grow, manage and spearhead this effort in the Head Office in Chicago. You should have a background of pure calibre and proven success in the Quantitative/Systematic Trading field. The company has access to all global exchange listed derivatives, equities, commodities and selected cash markets. You may therefore come from any asset class, and have Trading Models ready to plug and play within a short time frame. This is not a hands on Management role, as you will be researching and trading yourself, but your key mandate is to hire new traders and quants, and ensure that the group is delivering profitability as quickly and efficiently as possible. The aim of the group is to grow the function with a diverse range of capabilities, including models of varying asset class and frequency. (From Intraday to holding periods of 1-3 days, maximum). You should have models with a sharpe of well over 2.0. Ideally more like3.0 plus. This will obviously depending on the strategy. You may come from a Fund or a Prop group, and have a genuine flair and enthusiasm for this line of work. You must also be eager to take responsibility, yet install an autonomous and research focused environment. Academics are not so important for this role. You should clearly have strong academics in a numerate field, but your experience and trading models are key to this hire. You must also be confident and able to gain buy in from Senior Management and Board members, as you will regularly be reporting to them, as well as other Global Managers.
