Help Desk Consultant/Analyst for Financial Institution in Jersey City, NJ

Major financial institution is looking for a Help Desk Analyst Consultant/Analyst to mainly provide Level 1 support to the business users (approximately 200).  Start asap.  Excellent communication skills are essential.

As follows:

This position entails providing Level 1 support to the business users, of which there are approximately 200.  Users contact the Help Desk with issues via phone and email - and sometimes in person.  This position is responsible for entering a trouble ticket into the Help Desk Ticketing system (internally developed, pretty easy to use), trying to solve the issue via the person in the position’s knowledge, if they can’t resolve the issue then dispatching it to a PC technician or other person in IT for resolution, following up with IT personnel to insure the ticket was completed, then closing the ticket in the Help Desk System.  This position also gets quotes on hardware & software from approved vendors (mostly CDW).  Most of the issues this person should be able to solve over the phone/email include adding & removing active directory accounts (and saving the email documentation), resetting Windows and system passwords (which we’ll teach), scheduling printer vendors when printers go down, and general Windows questions.  In order to succeed in this position a candidate needs to have superior customer service skills and organization.  Technically, a knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Office, how to use Internet Explorer, and Active Directory are key.
