POSITION TITLE:  INTERMEDIATE BUSINESS  SYSTEM ANALYST

DEPARTMENT:  BISD OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATION BUSINESS ANALYSIS

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
-  Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required
-  Two to five years business systems analysis experience; participated on at least one significant team-oriented systems project required
-  Possess an understanding of business needs and practices comparable to an experienced member of the user community required
-  Experience applying state of the art business analysis methodologies (i.e., scope definition and change management, requirements gathering, business analysis, functional specifications, and process modeling) preferred
-  Experience with SQL or an equivalent database manipulation tool required
-  Document management and workflow experience preferred ; Experience with Microsoft SharePoint or Livelink preferred
-  Familiarity with multi-relational database products (Essbase for example) preferred

MAJOR DUTIES:
-  Perform business analysis for development and enhancement of various third party and in-house, customized applications used by Legal compliance, Investor Services, Decision Support and Facilities,  Conference Planning & Special Events and Travel
-  Determine and document business objectives
-  Translate business objectives to develop optimized design specifications which solve business objectives while exhibiting robustness using professionally accepted modeling tools
-  Develop and publish database, program, and script specifications
-  Develop and publish test plans. May include preparation of test data
-  Determine and prepare estimates
-  Provide data/reports to assist business areas making decisions
-  Provide general consulting and support to system customers and handle requests for system enhancements
-  Evaluate business needs, recommending best fit solutions such as purchasing third-party software, integrating multiple software applications or repairing current applications

-  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Overtime as required)
