IT COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

Upromise IT Operations is seeking a compliance professional to augment IT Compliance department. In this role you will be responsible for implementing corporate compliance programs at the direction of the IT Compliance Director with minimal daily oversight. The qualified candidate has experience developing as well as maintaining existing compliance programs. Attention to detail and a self-motivated approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Sarbanes-Oxley 404 project to document internal controls, identify control gaps and lead cross functional teams to remediate gaps

• Work with cross functional teams to develop internal processes and supporting documentation

• Develop and implement an internal audit program to oversee compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Payment Card Industry standards

• Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery program; lead annual plan updates and testing based on corporate standards

• Implement a corporate evacuation and emergency preparedness plan

• Develop, implement and maintain a corporate compliance training programJob Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:BS/BA and 3-5 years IT audit or related internal controls experience required Experience assessing IT risks and controls related to business processes Understanding of IT workflow environments and computing controls Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery planning Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels within an organization - from senior management to technical contributors Proven ability to convey to business stakeholders the rational behind and need for compliance/disaster recovery to win their support Exceptional organizational ability and documentation skills combined with a strong understanding of process, procedures and control measures Ability to implement objective-based projects with minimal management oversight

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Industry certifications or evidence of progress toward certification (CIA, CISA, CISSP, CFE) Controls experience (COSO, COBIT) Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act and experience with SOX projects
