John Hancock can be found on the internet at www.johnhancock.com Manulife Financial Corporation trades as 'MFC' on the TSX, NYSE and PSE, and under '0945' on the SEHKThis position is for an IT Project Lead / IT Project Lead Manager for the Long Term Care Insurance Division Web Application Team.  The Web Apps Team is responsible for all Intra-, Extra- and Internet based applications and sites for the division.  The team participates in new systems development as well in maintenance of existing systems.   We primarily develop applications using ASP.NET but do support any web technologies required for the department.IT Project Lead / IT Project Manager Experience in the Financial Services Industry, Long Term Care, Life is preferred Required:o Sound knowledge of project management methodologieso Good organization, communication and problem solving skills. o A fast learner, quick to pick up new concepts and ability to research and develop domain expertiseo Ability to prepare schedules and status reports, delegate effec­tively, develop staff, manage a project budget and deliver timely results. o History of working team members with a wide range of skills, competencies and motivation levelso Proven development and motivational skills.  Strong planning, communication, influencing, and conflict management skills. o Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change.o Knowledge of Web Applications and Windows Applications in Generalo Strong  understanding and practical application of analytical tools & methodologies, design concepts, tools and techniques, programming techniques & standards, testing tech­niques and training methodologieso Ability to effectively apply project management methodologies and ensure that the necessary technical skills are included with the project team and utilized appropriately.o Solid understanding of business functions and issues.o 3-5+ years as systems professional or systems supervisory experience at a senior level as well as experience successfully managing projects and/or teams.  o Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred.
