This role is responsible for the management of daily activities surrounding web product Quality Assurance. This role will manage the relationships to ensure all testing needs are met on a timely basis. This role will work closely with the product business owner, business and IT project manager(s), business analyst(s) and test analysts to create, maintain and ensure successful execution of the Master Testing Plan and components. A good understanding of web applications and the eCommerce industry including security issues, testing environments, testing procedures and tools for web based products is essential. This position also requires experience with quality assurance industry best practices, software testing processes, the software development life cycle and project management methodologies. Responsibilities Manage relationships with our external vendor, service management infrastructure processes (incident management, problem management, configuration management, change management, release management, etc.) Create Master Test Plans, Task identification, Scheduling, Tracking, Reporting and Resource allocation (people, hardware, software and facilities) Using standard techniques, provide oversight to test analysts and/or create and execute robust manual and automated test scripts and accurately record test results Design, create, track and communicate metrics and status relating to testing cycles and the effectiveness of test scripts to project and functional managers Conduct Effort Estimation with business partners on projects Develop and monitor Test Process controls and ensure Quality policies, processes and standards are utilized and followed Create and manage QA web test processes Education:· Bachelor’s degree in Business / MIS / Operations or equivalent field experience Experience: 7 to 10 years of QA/Test position(s) on large, complex web projects.  These projects typically involve 30 + resources, take more than 6 months to develop, and have multiple management or lead levels 5 + years off-shore experience with vendors 5 + years testing experience in web technologies Proven experience with industry standard QA management techniques Proven experience developing Master Test Plans & Strategies and utilizing automated testing tools (LoadRunner, WinRunner & QualityCenter) Proven experience creating Master Test Plans Proven experience with integration testing Experienced in defect tracking tools and test metrics reporting Experience in managing automated and manual tester Skills: Ability to understand modern coding languages such as C#, .NET, JAVA Thorough understanding of the Quality Assurance and Systems Development (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.) methodologies Good understanding of Systems Development methodologies Excellent verbal and written communicator at multiple organizational levels Negotiation and conflict management skills within teams and among Third Party Vendors Organizational skills Knowledge of Test Case Design and Development principles and techniques Proficiency in Excel and ability to use Test Case Specification template Ability to use the defect management tool Ability to provide testing metrics Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word Preferred: Industry certification Quality Assurance (CSQA) or similar industry certifications programsDrug screen and background check required.
