IT Service Manager Systems Administrator
As an IT Service Manager Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with the migration from our HP Openview Service Desk system to HP Service Manager 7.0 and eventually the day-to-day administration of our HP Service Manager system. Specifically, you will be responsible for customizing, tailoring, and troubleshooting in the areas of Service Desk, Incident, Problem, Change, Request and Configuration Management modules. This function includes supporting and enhancing workflows and integrations to improve the level of service within our technology team.Your role in the continued roll out of Service Manager to our technology teams will be critical as you will focus on end-user training, product evaluation and testing as well as the planning and execution of product upgrades and patch releases. Liaising with team members throughout the organization, you will also support the integration of Service Manager with federated systems and data sources in use by numerous departments at SIG, giving you an opportunity to collaborate with senior managers and gain an in-depth understanding of the technical systems and infrastructure that support a dynamic and evolving financial services firm. Essential Functions Your responsibilities will include day-to-day support of the HP Service Manager 7.0 system. This includes solution implementation, workflow development, troubleshooting and general administrationYou will work with vendor and internal staff to support and enhance existing processes within the HP Service Manager FrameworkYou will be responsible for supporting the integration between Service Manager and external and federated systems and data sourcesYou will provide end-user training for HP Service Manager, promoting SIG's Service ManagementYou will be responsible for working with end-users and key stakeholders to provide reports based on Service Manager data Required/Preferred Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years related experience in technology support requiredStrong knowledge of IT delivery processes and workflow managementUnderstanding of the ITIL framework or other Service Management frameworkExcellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with SQL ServerScripting experience a plus (perl, shell, vbscript, Java, etc)Knowledge of Peregrine ServiceCenter / HP Service Manager, HP Service Desk, Remedy, or other ITSM system; HP Connect-ItExperience with Crystal Reports a plusStrong work ethic and motivation requiredBachelors Degree in Technology Related discipline strongly preferred* Apply Salary/Benefits At SIG, our employees are our most valued assets.
