Seeking a recent grad to join our Information Technology team as a Database/Web developer. Renaissance Capital located in Greenwich, CT is the leading provider of independent research on Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) for major financial institutions and individual investors. It is also the sponsor of the newly launched Renaissance IPO Index and advisor to the IPO Plus Fund, the only mutual fund to focus solely on the IPO market.

 

The Web Developer will be involved in creating and maintaining Renaissance Capital’s public, client and internal websites.  A willingness to use new technology is essential and an entrepreneurial spirit with a "can do" attitude is a requisite.  We seek energetic, outgoing and self-motivated individuals that have a desire to thrive in a dynamic, sometimes high-pressure environment.   A qualified candidate will have a BS/BA degree, preferably with a computer science or MIS major.  Experience in or a willingness to learn the following skill set is helpful:



-  Developing web applications with ASP.NET/VB.NET

-  Working with database driven applications using SQL server





-  Working with SQL, XML as datasources

-  Using best practices for  security, scalability and maintainability

-  Some knowledge of classic ASP
