Imaging Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: Direct supervision of the Sammons Annuity Group Imaging Department.  Coordinate and monitor the work flow of the Imaging Department to ensure efficient and high quality service is provided to internal customers while maintaining a positive and professional approach that will facilitate departmental morale and teamwork. Plan and manage staffing to ensure adequate resources are available to process daily workloads and meet department turnaround times.  Responsible for monitoring the imaging environment and the technical configuration of the imaging system.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage and monitor Imaging department staff to ensure efficient and quality service and meet all established departmental turnaround times.

Develop automated process for current manual processes.

Monitor and review quality of work completed in department.

Review production totals with staff members to ensure department goals are met.

Hire competent and committed employees who demonstrate high performance and satisfaction.

Conduct regular meetings to keep staff informed and to solicit feedback to improve quality of service.

Work closely with New Business, Agency and Client Service to review procedures and issues that may arise.

Use record-keeping expertise and organizational skills to develop, review, implement, and maintain standards and procedures.

Complete all employee evaluations by the date required by the Human Resource Department.

  Mentor staff; be a leader by example and provide training opportunities.

  Monitor and approve time reported on Exponent HR system.

  Monitor the imaging environment and technical configuration of the imaging system for Sammons Annuity Group.

  Ensure that all annuity division documents are stored electronically in a manner that complies with applicable laws and industry regulations.

  Make certain that the storage of the records is highly secure and is readily accessible to authorized persons

  Provide management reports for tracking service levels.

QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):

Bachelors degree and/or 5 or more years relevant work experience

2+ years document imaging experience

Clear understanding of document imaging is required

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong computer skills, PC - Microsoft Excel, Access, Word

Ability to write queries using SQL

Ability to identify and resolve complex issues

Strong leadership skills

Excellent problem solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
