Insight & Innovation Team Leader
The Wachovia Securities Insight and Innovation Team Leader reports into the Insight and Innovation Capital Management Group Leader . The successful candidate will leverage his or her experience as a seasoned consultant to effectively communicate and develop insights generated primarily from customers and prospects. This individual will work closely with a team of professionals in the Insights and Innovation group and interact at all levels of management. In this role, the Team Leader will advance the corporate objectives of Wachovia Securities by consulting on topics ranging from customers and products to the competition and the financial marketplace. He or she will provide strategic as well as tactical business decision support for innovative marketing campaigns. Other responsibilities include collaborating with internal groups and vendors to integrate data with new and existing technology. In this role, business partner management and consulting skills are emphasized. The Team Leader will collaborate with peers, managers, and business partners to ensure that goals are clearly identified and achieved in a timely and consistent manner. The Team Leader will efficiently manage internal and external resources to help set direction, determine objectives, prioritize projects, clarify expectations, and deliver meaningful and actionable customer insights. In this role, advanced analytic capabilities are used to fuel Marketing acquisition strategies, deepen and enhance relationships, and collaborate on client and advisor retention programs. As necessary, the Team Leader will actively promote individual career development and prepare fair, accurate, timely, and thorough performance reviews. He or she will challenge the status quo, lead by example and mentor others by being proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting partner, division, and enterprise needs. This individual is expected to stay current on industry trends and best practices, while adhering to all Bank, Securities and government policies regarding privacy and security of customer information. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Broad knowledge of information based marketing or related field. 5 to 10 years significant leadership experience. Effective communication, marketing, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate with others, work independently, initiate action, adapt to change, make difficult decisions, and accept challenging assignments. Manage time and assist others in managing priorities and deadlines appropriately. Proven ability to establish credibility with partners, peers, teams, and leaders and use personal influence. PC software applications proficiency. Preferred Requirements: Masters Degree. Experience managing a large team. Significant process management experience. Experience with advanced statistical and analytic concepts. Experience in financial services industry or consulting industry. Superior communications/ presentation/ project management skills. Experience interacting with Senior Leadership. Superior human capital management and team building skills.
