Job Description: *Institutional RFP Writer Opportunity to join a dynamic and growing investment management firm and help expand our business development efforts. This position is responsible for responding to search related requests including RFPs and consultant questionnaires, database updates and ad hoc requests from investment management consultants, brokerage firms, clients and prospective clients. The candidate will gain a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by Wells Fargo Funds Management (FMG), including mutual funds, separate accounts, and other products, and be able to manage the strategic positioning of content for RFPs and other communications in order to win and retain business. Reports to Institutional RFP Manager and is part of the FMG marketing team. Specific responsibilities include: · Completion and submission of high quality, accurate, and timely information to investment management consultants, brokerage firms, clients, and prospective clients. · Gathering information from various FMG departments and subject matter experts to develop compelling marketing responses. · Implementing and maintaining RFP database and other resources to ensure the ongoing delivery of accurate and timely information. · Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all FMG products and a strong understanding of financial markets. · Related ongoing project management. · Other projects as assigned. Success Characteristics: · Full understanding of investment processes and products. · Solid working relationships with Sales, Investment, Product, and Marketing Review (compliance) teams, as well as our subadvisor (portfolio management) teams. · Solid communication skills, both written and oral. · Exceptional analytical/numerical skills. · Detail-oriented with good organizational skills. · Easily and regularly collaborates with all levels of team members, particularly sales. · Highly responsive and flexible with willingness to go the extra mile. Minimum Qualifications: · Minimum of 4 to 6 years of senior level writing for an investment manager, asset management firm, brokerage firm, or mutual fund family, with project management experience. · Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality RFPs and other investment communications within tight deadlines. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Must be able to collaborate successfully with multiple partners at all levels of the organization. · Brokerage firm or mutual fund experience necessary. · B.A./B.S. or similar degree required. · Sales or investment analysis experience a plus; CFA, CIMA, or other designation useful, as is NASD Series 7 and 63. · Hands-on working knowledge of Factset, Morningstar, and other data sources.
