Institutional Sales - Account Executive

 

William O’Neil + Company is seeking sales professionals with knowledge in the financial markets.  This position reports directly to the Vice President and manager of Institutional Services, and is responsible for selling the firms’ proprietary data research, analytic tools and equity investment idea services to qualified institutional clients in specified territories.  The candidate will interface primarily with portfolio managers and analysts of client organizations as the firm’s main client contact.  This includes working closely with client firms to demonstrate the specific attributes of WON’s data research services for the client firm’s particular needs and investment methodology.  The Account Executive is responsible for on-going client services and maintenance to ensure client satisfaction and to increase the usage of WON’s services at each client firm.

 

The candidate must be able to work independently and effectively in an entrepreneurial environment comprised of highly intelligent, self driven sales professionals.  Candidates who are hired will undertake a four month training program, including self-study, designed to develop the new Account Executive’s product knowledge and general sales skills.

 

The candidate will have a solid track record of success in generating revenue for a firm.  Previous experience selling research of sophisticated technology to Investment Managers is preferred.  The candidate should be capable of generating $250k in net revenue within 12 months of joining the firm.  The successful candidate should possess a commitment to a high level of client service and satisfaction, as well as ethical and extremely professional behavior.  He or she must have the ability to relate to many different types of people with varying levels of sophistication.
