Instructional Designer, Compliance Training and Communication

The Compliance Training and Communication Department of Edward Jones is seeking an individual with three-plus years experience in training design and training curriculum development/management using e-learning tools and blended learning principals to serve as an instructional designer. Duties include designing, developing, delivering and evaluating/measuring classroom, e-learning, and blended learning curriculum to accurately represent management compliance training directives. This role will work with Strategic Learning Services to ensure effective design and implementation of blended learning. The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methods, e-learning and blended learning principles.Responsibilities Partner with other areas within the division and the firm on training projects Design, develop and deliver classroom, e-learning, and blended learning projects Coordinate needs assessment with general partners, department leaders, team leaders and associates Coordinate, facilitate, and instruct small to large training groups Ensure training materials are updated or created to reflect regulatory and firm changes Review training materials from other areas of the firm to ensure they are within compliance standards Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to gather information needed to prepare training Requirements 3 years experience developing e-learning using HTML editors such as DreamWeaver, interactive multimedia tools such as Captivate and Articulate, and graphic software such as Photoshop and Fireworks Experience using Flash, not required, but a strong plus Thorough understanding of blended learning principles Three-plus years in training design and developing/maintaining a training curriculum preferred Strong knowledge of adult learning theory Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and methods Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong presentation Skills Team player Ability to manage multiple projects Bachelors' degree required, preferably in Instructional Design or aligned area, such as Education or Psychology. Master's degree a plus. Professional certifications along with additional years of direct instructional design experience can be substituted.
