Instructional Designer (Service Division-BATD)

The Branch Associate Training and Development Department at Edward Jones is responsible for developing the skills of associates in over 10,000 offices across the United States. Training is primarily delivered through an online learning experience. If you have experience developing online learning, find solving the problems of making online instruction meaningful, and want a new challenge, give us a call.Responsibilities Responsibilities Research and assess learning needs of Branch Office Administrators Design instructionally sound, highly interactive training for online delivery Develop e-learning content using a variety of software authoring technologies Define and manage implementation projects, including a piloting process Evaluate the effectiveness of training, using all four levels of the Kirkpatrick model Continually maintain and update existing learning content in an assigned area of responsibility Continually develop and grow competency in instructional design methods and use of development technologyRequirements Requirements Minimum 3 years instructional design experience with strong demonstrated knowledge of instructional design principles and methods Minimum 2 years experience designing and developing online, asynchronous training content; experience applying Ruth Colvin Clark principles of online design a plus Must have experience working with online authoring software; specific experience using Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Captivate, or Articulate a plus Experience using Flash, not required, but a strong plus Minimum 1 year experience managing instructional development projects Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelors' degree required, preferably in Instructional Design or aligned area, such as Education or Psychology. Master's degree a plus.
