Insurance Agent/Producer

Job Purpose:

 

Provides service to business clients' changing insurance needs by selling property and casualty insurance. Products include: bonds, comm'l auto, inland marine, property, general liability, professional liability, and workers compensation. Qualified leads and appointments provided. Opportunities in NY,NJ,CT, & PA.

Client scope:
Attorneys, Accountants, Bars/Clubs,Contractors, Distributors, Manufacturers, Property Managers,Restaurants,Retailers, Truckers, and more.

 

Duties:

 

* Develops base for long-term client relationships by using referrals, pre-set appointments, and special-interest groups to solicit new prospects.

 

* Approaches potential clients by utilizing in-person meetings/presentations,email, mail and, phone follow-ups.

 

* Determines clients' particular needs and current policy portfolio by scheduling fact-finding appointments; determining extent of present coverage and exposures; ascertaining long-term goals.

 

* Developes a coordinated protection plan by calculating and quoting rates for immediate coverage action in conjunction with in-house underwriting staff and long-term strategy implementation.

 

* Obtains underwriting approval by completing application for coverage.

 

* Completes coverage by delivering policy; planning future follow-up visits and evaluations of needs.

 

* Provides continuing service by acting as a liason for escalated customers service issues.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

 

* Enhances insurance agency reputation by providing unique perspective to clients; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

Skills/Qualifications:
