Integration Engineer with Java

The Role · Assist Omgeo Sales and Integration project teams by providing pre and post-sales technical services based on Omgeo solutions.Responsibilities Business Development · Assist Sales and Project Managers by recommending the appropriate infrastructure environment and articulating the technical solution during the sales cycle. · Identify additional opportunities for business through extension of existing work or through new work within existing accounts. · Identify repeat solutions on revenue generating consultative opportunities· Build relationships with client technical/development organizations and be recognized by these organizations as a key technical advisor who adds value through exposure to multiple client situations Implementation Execution · Lead networking discussions between client network administrators and internal Omgeo networking groups. · Assist or lead discussions with client development teams using Omgeo API’s.· Participate in client technology projects using software development life cycle; including technical design and specifications determined from business requirement documents · Actively manage risks associated with the project by identifying the problem, troubleshooting, and taking corrective action. Escalate issues and risks appropriately. · Assist in the design, development and review of test automation tools to satisfy client requirements and meet the implementation budget and schedule. · Provide feedback and enhancement requests to product development about Omgeo products. · Communicate regularly with management/project teams regarding project status and participate in post project reviews. · Articulate complex technical issues to senior client management; recommend appropriate solutions and guide client through issue resolution. · Assist or lead team in determining client technical requirements, project scoping and estimating efforts. · Identify project requirements, strategies, and schedules in support of implementation contracts. · Assist in conformance test and document deliverables. · Participate in client conferences and trade shows · Keep abreast of latest job-related technologies.  Qualifications · Proven experience in Java, J2EE, C++, XML· IBM Websphere MQ  middleware technology experience a plus· Proven UNIX knowledge, including Shell scripting experience a plus· 5 years of IT solution delivery experience within a consulting organization preferred · Bachelor’s degree required preferably in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience· An understanding of the Institutional Trade Flow and Trade Processing business, i.e. knowledge of Electronic Trade Confirmation, Straight Through Processing (STP) and the current industry initiatives. · Experience as a technical lead through all phases of the project (architecting, designing, developing, coding, and troubleshooting) · Proven ability to work in a team-based structure and use synergistic power of a team to achieve goals. · Exhibit proven technical expertise in networking communications and client/server development. · Demonstrated ability to manage client relationship at business and technical levels. - Strong analytic and diagnostic skills. · Ability to excel in autonomous role. · Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment· Provide technical expertise, direction and leadership to other team members· Ability to translate business requirements into a technical design · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Must be available to travel if necessary. To apply for this position please click on the link below.  Omgeo Careers Omgeo is a joint venture company owned equally by The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Thomson Financial.
