Interactive Creative Director

Great Lakes Educational Loan Services, Inc. is a student financial services industry leader dedicated to helping students and families build better lives through higher education.  We are seeking an Interactive Creative Director to assist in defining our presence on the web in regard to its visual interface, and interaction with the corporation’s web-based services.

 

Responsibilities include leading a team in the design and development of corporate standards and policies for web application development, interface features and special effects.  You will work with clients to ensure brand identity and consistency, and content continuity.  Additional duties include identifying challenges, recommending solutions, designing and building web pages, launching new web-based services, testing and troubleshooting.  The Interactive Creative Director will act as a liaison between the various business units within Great Lakes and assist in the ownership of our web-based presentation to the outside world.  An understanding of interface design, usability issues, ADA compliance, and information architecture is required for online product design and construction.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required Skills:Knowledge equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information architecture, graphic design or a related field.Ten plus years of related professional experience, including at least two years leading a creative team.Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills in a corporate setting.

· Demonstrated strong team building, consulting, and facilitation skills.

· Demonstrated ability to operate and communicate effectively at the executive level.

· Supervisory experience including demonstrated ability to handle these responsibilities effectively.

 

 

Desired Skills:

· High proficiency in web design, HTML, CSS and web standards

· Familiarity with Flash, JavaScript and Ajax
