An opportunity currently exists within our Investment Management Operations department for an Intermediate Data Analyst.

POSITION TITLE:   Intermediate Data Analyst

DEPARTMENT:   Investment Management Operations

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:

-  Associate degree in business related field or at least four years equivalent financial services industry experience required

-  Bachelor degree in a business related field preferred

-  Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the features and characteristics of the data stored in relation to security masters, issuers, funds/investment accounts, etc.

-  Experience with investment management operations related systems (i.e. Bloomberg, FedPortS, Charles River ) preferred

-  Experience with Microsoft products (EXCEL, WORD) required

MAJOR DUTIES:

-  Perform daily analysis tasks required to reconcile specific data contained in the repository to similar data tracked in other internal and external data repositories

-  Utilize relevant applications, utilities, and skills to perform analysis and execute appropriate course of action to resolve data exceptions

-  Follow established procedures for maintaining integrity of the repository data.  This entails utilizing relevant research systems and tools and supplementing data in the repository on a timely and accurate basis

-  Be responsible for the timely and accurate implementation of critical updates to the repository, as required to maintain internal repository integrity as well as data synchronization with other internal and external data repositories

-  Support both the trading desks and portfolio managers with respect to items such as security and issuer maintenance, derivatives reporting, data validation, etc

-  Maintain thorough and accurate documentation on all methods and procedures within scope of responsibility.

-  Complete special projects as assigned

-  Adhere to departmental procedures and standards

-  Advise, consult and participate in implementation of software applications

-  Utilize analytical skills to solve issues related to position reconciliation, corporate action issues and application of compliance rules

HOURS/LOCATION:

-  7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., 8 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Overtime as required)
