Investor Relations Internship Opportunity

 

FD Ashton Partners is a fast growing, strategic investor relations consulting firm providing investment community intelligence and positioning strategies to publicly traded companies. Our goal is to help CEO/CFOs of both new and old economy companies navigate the waters of the public financial markets. We need strategic thinkers that are dedicated to delivering exceptional client service.

We are seeking to fill an internship position in our Boston client services group for the Spring / Summer 2008. 

 

Responsibilities:Contact key members of the investment community via phone to gather commentary on clients or the market (up to 50% of any particular day).Research financial markets, including both private and public companies, utilizing the company’s financial data products and internal databases.Monitor trading activity and relevant news releases for clients and upper management.Research various industries or competitors relating to individual clients or sales leads.Assist teams on special projects for client work.Administrative support tasks for client deliverables.

 

Qualifications:Graduate or junior/senior undergraduate students with an interest in pursuing a career in the financial markets.Strong communication skills and willingness to interact on the phone. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.

 

Hours are expected to be between 30-40 hours per week, depending on the individual.  Compensation will be an hourly wage of $10.00 - 12.00 per hour, depending on experience.
