Investment Performance Associate
Cambridge Associates was founded in the early 1970s to provide investment and financial research, consulting, and advisory services to endowments and other nonprofit institutions. Responsibility:
Collect and analyze performance data in support of the Alternative Assets Performance Measurement area.
Principal Duties:
Manage the ongoing collection of quarterly financial statements and original source documents from alternative assets partnership managers. Identify and solicit missing data. Each Associate is responsible for monitoring between 150 and 200 funds on a quarterly basis. Funds will consist of venture capital, private equity, oil & gas, real estate, non-U.S. global private equity, distressed securities, and fund of funds ("alternative assets") partnerships.
Analyze data relating to fund, member institution, and company from quarterly financial statements or original source documents. Input data into proprietary database. Discuss discrepancies with or seek additional information from alternative assets partnership managers.
Analyze and verify fund data and run standard single fund analysis reports. Coordinate production with Production Assistant and final delivery with Manager.
Maintenance and backfill of fund level, company level, and member institution level data as requested by Manager.Qualifications:Seniors pursuing a BS/BA concentrating in Finance, Accounting or Economics. Strong analytical, quantitative and communication skills. Strong time-management skills and ability to self-organize, as well as the ability to work independently and collectively as part of a team. Experience using Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel and Access. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.*Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
