Job Description:  Investment Portfolio Reconciliation  

A unique opportunity at a growing asset management firm.  Casual and friendly work environment in our Bedford Hills office.

 

Client Account Responsibilities

 

Daily Tasks: Reconciliation of details of the previous day’s trading allocation activity for accuracy and completeness Monitor and  resolve open trade/allocation variances Update pending (unsettled) trade error report Reconcile transactions and positions with custodian and internal accounting system Post changes and correction to internal accounting system Advise custodian of changes and corrections and follow up until resolved Maintain and update account variance report Maintain and update failing trade report

Monthly Tasks: Reconciliation of account portfolio holdings and cash Compare each Client portfolio accounting system account with custodian statements Cash, holdings, pricing, income, distributions, expenses and performance Prepare a written reconciliation for each account Identify any discrepancies Resolve any open discrepancies with custodian Post changes/corrections to Client Account

Periodic Tasks: Help respond to Client inquiries Respond to Manager’s/other’s inquiries Prepare special reports as needed for Managers/others, client

 

 

Office Administration Responsibilities

Daily Tasks: Answering telephones Filing Miscellaneous ordering, stocking, office care

Interpersonal: Good communication skills with colleagues (Trader, Sector Manager, Risk Manager, CIO and clients) Develop rapport with counterparties (Banks, Brokers) Willingness to learn

 

Technical: Excellent computer skills Word Excel Portfolio Accounting Software Analytic Software Accounting background or math skills equivalent a plus Portfolio administration experience a plus
