Investment Tax Manager

Seeking an Investment Tax Manager.  The Investment Tax Manager ensured that all of the operational and administrative federal and state tax requirements for Group of Funds are met, including all tax returns and all applicable federal and state disclosures as directed by the management.  The Manager is responsible for completing other tax compliance and tax research requirements as directed by the Tax Director. The Manager assists the Senior Tax Accountant(s) and/or Intermediate Tax Accountant(s) with the preparation or review of all mutual and hedge fund federal and state income tax returns, qualification testing, financial reports, shareholder notices, and year-end tax mailings. They research the application of federal or state tax laws, as well as applicable court decisions to aid in corporate decision making on any issues affecting funds.

 To qualify for this role you must have a college degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or Business Administration; CPA preferred.  In addition, Seven to ten years of Mutual Fund Tax experience are required with excellent oral and written communication skills and excellent planning, decision making and judgment skills.  Essential to the role are excellent organizational skills, the ability to establish credibility with senior management and creative problem-solving ability and a consultative mindset. Also important are strong analytical and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and the ability to function in a collaborative culture.  Knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word required.
