Brief Description: Supervises and coordinates the activities of staff engaged in loss mitigation to ensure production and collection goals are met.Job Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Performs or supervises all personnel and functions related to loan workout management.2. Develops collection strategies to target priority assets.3. Identifies portfolio anomalies and provide feedback and corrective action solutions to management.4. Develops strategic call campaigns, including format, timing, volume, call schedule, and summarizing results.5. Manages team portfolio to ensure all assets are being actively worked in accordance with minimum requirements and investor guidelines, as well as, guarantying all deadlines are met.6. Oversees the department’s internal control testing activities, including identifying problem areas and recommending corrective action.7. Monitors staff collection calls to maintain compliance with FDCPA, including call volume and lengths of call to identify potential training needs.8. Prepares monthly incentive compensation reports and recommends changes if necessary.9. Reviews and approves edits before forwarding to department manager. 10. Reviews department letters, forms and reports for accuracy and up-to-date information.11. Recommends and submits programming requests as needed, including follow-up and testing.12. Maintains and updates policies and procedures and desktop procedures for all department functions.13. Oversees staff training and assists in career development by providing counseling and feedback.Qualifications: GENERAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Strong collections and accounting background.2. Advanced knowledge of mortgage loan documents.3. Proficient knowledge of personal computers using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.4. Ability to learn and operate in-house computer systems, predictive dialer systems, and a variety of vendor software applications.5. Skill to type 50 words per minute. 6. 10-key and HP calculators.7. Ability to operate general office equipment (photocopier, fax, etc.).8. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.9. Organizational skills.10. Project management skills. 11. Ability to supervise staff. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: 1. Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, peers, and management through written and verbal communication. 2. Ability to communicate with customers, internal departments, and other third parties in a professional manner.3. Ability to deal effectively with performance problems.4. Ability to deal with varied and often difficult personalities while maintaining an even temperament.5. Ability to motivate, coach, and train staff.6. Requires ability to supervise several staff including ability to ensure projects are completed on time and staff is adequately trained and motivated.2. Evaluates, promotes, and recommends promotions and salary increases in accordance with company standards and timelines.3. Handles disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.4. Establishes specific, attainable, and measurable goals for staff and provides on-going feedback on performance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. High school diploma or equivalent.2. Supervisory experience.3. Five or more years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Occasional overnight travel may be required.
