 Performs analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing hardware and/or software to meet user requirements. Trains end users in the use of equipment and software. May monitor the operation of the organization’s LAN and ensure adherence to LAN security procedures as well as maintain contact with outside organizations in the maintenance and service of the LAN. May evaluate vendor products in hardware, software and/or telecommunications, as well as develop and maintain or utilize telecommunications protocols.

Optimizes customer satisfaction and company profitability by providing PC technical solutions that meet the needs of the business. Researching and implementation of the latest tools. Performs standards management, image builds, testing, scripting, and packaging for deployment of hardware and software technologies. Document and support of computer operations hardware and software for the Deluxe Corporation PC environment.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Incumbent will perform day-to-day operational and project activities related to Configuration Standards Management, operating system provisioning, image build management, scripting, and packaging for software and hardware deployments as well as related computer operations services. As a Lead Technical Analyst, you will be responsible for setting client technology hardware and software standards. You will assess and troubleshoot third-level problems. You will be a key point of contact for refining recommendations for client solutions, developing documentation, application software and workflow process and procedures for both technical and non-technical resources. Develop and maintain system documentation including information on clients, workstation configurations, and general system condition. Provides technical consulting to the business and project team members regarding optimal use and availability of computer hardware, software, and physical facility environments. Assists with the analysis and recommendations of information technology acquisitions to support the identified business needs. Responds to requests for quote and provides work estimates. Analyzes the cost and benefits of doing business in the data center. Assists in the development evaluation, selection, and implementation of strategies to achieve Deluxe goals through the use of information technology. Advises and consults on issues of connectivity between various computer systems within Deluxe and electronic data interchange with external organizations. Serves as a liaison between Information Services and other internal and external organizations. Performs special projects as required.Under general supervision, plans, conducts, and may supervise assignments that are broad in nature.Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:5-8 years of professional experience beyond related BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of information technology field to the completion of difficult assignments.  Ability to work independently with general supervision. Ability to make decisions under general supervision using company policies and procedures. Ability to achieve results and follow through on commitments. Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment that requires constant change and adaptability. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills and problem solving and analytical skills. Possesses a comprehensive understanding of PC software/hardware background, knowledge of network topologies, and broad knowledge of distributed Microsoft application software. Technically skilled in support of Microsoft operating systems: Windows XP, 2000, NT, MS-DOS, and Windows Server 2003. Expertise with Active Directory. Expertise with operating system provisioning and image build management using Sysprep, PowerQuest Drive Image, Ghost, ImageX, or equivalent. Good understanding of MSI technology and management of Microsoft applications in a distributed environment. Expertise with application packaging and scripting using Wise Package Studio.Expertise with electronic software distribution processes and technologies. Expertise with centralized desktop management systems working in a distributed environment. Expertise with centralized patch management processes and technologies. Experience with centralized client/server virus protection processes and technologies. Experience with repackaging/modifying existing packaged applications. Experience in defining distribution strategy, grouping, etc., for enterprise deployment. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Expertise with WiseScript, VBScript. Expertise in packaging and software distribution using HP Radia/ OpenView Application Manager, Microsoft SMS, or equivalent. Expertise with patching Microsoft applications using HP Radia/OpenView Patch Manager, Microsoft WSUS, or equivalent. Expertise with centralized client/server virus protection using Trend Micro OfficeScan antivirus or equivalent. Expertise with Active Directory group policy. Experience with hard disk encryption such as GuardianEdge. Experience with Microsoft packaging tools such as ORK. Experience with change management and problem management principles. Experience with project management principles. Experience leading teams and managing workflow. Working knowledge and/or training in ITIL. MCSE certification in Microsoft systems.
