Location: Riverwoods, IL UNITED STATESFunctional Area: Finance/EconomicsMin Pay Rate: $0Max Pay Rate: $0Pay Type: YearResource Type: Full TimeJob Description: BASIC FUNCTION:The purpose of this position is to execute on Lean initiative(s) on a day-to-day basis, which includes creating future-state processes and metrics based on customer feedback to improve service, sales, cost; conducting in-depth data analyses – including gathering data, analyses, generating insights; working with a team of other Lean expert(s) and business experts to create new solutions and HR training and communication to develop process-specific training materials; delivering overall project impact; transferring Lean solutions to the business PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1. Generate customer insights based on customer interviews, focus groups, surveys. Customer insights will be a key factor shaping solution development. 2. Use Lean and/or Six Sigma tools to map current-state processes and design future-state processes. 3. Conduct in-depth data analyses – including data collection, data analyses, and synthesis of data to generate key insights. 4. Understand key metrics that drive the business unit, create a scorecard, and monitor scorecard performance and progress. 5. Work with Lean leader to develop training materials to teach new processes to frontliners, managers, and other necessary parties. HR – training and communications will be heavily involved in developing the training materials. 6. Build relationships with all key constituents necessary to deliver project results. 7. Analysis involves evaluating and interpreting data and of refining existing methods and techniques in order to reach conclusions. There might be a high level of query language to extract data, and a knowledge of descriptive statistics. Recommendations would be made. RELATIONSHIPS: · Reports to Sr. Manager of Discover Lean · Initiative team members (including Lean experts, business experts, Business Technology) – collaborate with team members to understand customer needs, map current state, design future state · HR – Refine kickoff training materials and develop post-engagement training materials · Relevant business units implementing Lean initiatives – listen to their concerns, get feedback on tested solutions SKILLSRequired: REQUIRED: · Bachelors Degree. · 5 years, minimum, work experience. · Lean or 6 Sigma Black Belt or equivalent. · Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). · Self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative and work ethic. · Excellent analytical, organizational / planning, communication(oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Desired: OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, ETC.: * Lean and/or Six Sigma work experience from top-tier management consulting firms(or similar) and/or from industry leading Fortune 500 Corporations.
