JOB SUMMARY:
NFM is currently seeking a Loan Processor.   Our Loan Processors are responsible for reviewing all income and assets documentation, various income and mortgage ratios, credit reports, automated underwriting, appraisals, title documents, homeowner’s policy documents, and various other loan documents. This position will often be the liaison for the Title Company, lender/investor and borrower. The successful candidate needs to possess strong communication and computer skills and a willingness to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, team environment. Professionalism and organization can never be compromised.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Audit file for documents requested on approvals (W-2’s, tax returns, etc.)Verify employment/compute incomeReview credit reportCheck for DTIReview Appraisal to ensure appraisal invoice has been paidQC file for all appropriate signed disclosures and appropriate feesCheck for correct stacking order and place necessary indicators on fileStamp submission date; place state stickers; place lender stickers if applicableRun pre-approvals and uploads;, familiarity with running DO/LP a mustFamiliarity with FHA Connection and getting case #’s/CAIVRS/LDP/GSA etc.Calling appraisers and borrowers to satisfy necessary conditions is a requirement.Constant, professional communication with Loan Officers and Sales Managers is a must.Review approvals by cross referencing 1008/1003/Loan summaryCheck taxes and insurance on 1003 as compared to preliminary documentsPerform overall assessment of file and program to ensure the loan is goodProvide audit feedback to relevant partiesEnsure that LOS system is complete and accurate at all times.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have experience and proven skills for processing loans in the mortgage industry; a minimum of 2 years experience requiredMust have demonstrated understanding of Conventional, Sub-Prime, FHA/VA (Purchase and Refinance) loans, at a minimumKnowledge of Encompass or Calyx Point required.Must have strong ability to prioritize, organize activities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Must be a team player with strong communication abilitiesMust take initiative to improve processes and must be very detail-orientedMust have knowledge/experience with DO/LP and FHA ConnectionMust be willing to help out in anyway possible to get loans to closing table and have a “can-do” attitude.
