As our Loan Sale and Servicing Specialist you will be responsible for day-to-day coordination of loans during the post-closing and servicing process including communicating loan status, wire and servicing transfers, clearing post-closing conditions, monitoring investor websites for purchase advice, and managing all loans through to resolution in a timely and efficient manner. In addition, you will handle day-to-day communication with borrowers during the brief periods wherein Sydion is servicing loans.
The successful candidate will have:
§ 3+ years experience in mortgage processing, secondary, or underwriting.
§ Experience clearing investor post-closing conditions, flagging and following up on aged loans, working with investors to purchase loans, reconciling wires, posting wires, monitoring investor web sites for purchase advice, reconciling purchase advice against anticipated revenue, and then forwarding purchase advice to warehouse banks, monitoring warehouses for pay downs, and updating internal systems with purchase information.
§ Warehouse line management experience including pulling daily settlement reports, monitoring reports for timely paydowns, and updating systems and records relative to post-purchase warehouse interest and fees.
§ Experience in the hands-on serving of loans including substantial and positive interaction directly with borrowers, preparing and sending “hello” and “goodbye” letters, transferring loans to investors post purchase, and post-purchase transfers for MERS, flood certificates, and hazard insurance.
§ Familiarity with closing documents including HUD statements, RESPA guidelines, experience working with escrow and title companies, and/or underwriting experience are helpful but not required.

Key traits will include an outgoing, relaxed, and personable style, positive outlook and can-do mind-set as evidenced by upbeat communication that leaves listeners feeling that their issues are important and their problems are solvable, and a high degree of professionalism as evidenced in how loan and business issues are surfaced, discussed, and resolved, overall appearance, strong business and personal contact management and follow up skills, and verbal communications capabilities. Experience working in an entrepreneurial or early-stage company and a willingness and ability to make positive contributions in an evolving organizational structure are highly desired.
