Process mail in accordance with the sorter area SOP. Attend both the morning and the afternoon sorter area turnover meetings as needed. Ensures that the mail trays are sorted to the correct HASP breakdown and all USPS standards are followed. Quality checks mail trays for correct sortation and proper tray labels Communicates closely NPI technicians, sorter operators and Leadership Team. Restock machines with postal supplies. Assist other mail clerks or machine operators on as needed basis. The Applicant should have the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to resolve problems or escalate as needed. Must be a team oriented individual. Must have good communication skills. Due to the critical department, attendance must be excellent. Good attendance and punctuality history is an Essential Job function. Personnel with “out-of-standard” attendance records at any point during the past 12 months do not meet this requirement. Must stand for 10 hours a day. Must lift up to 40lb. repeatedly throughout the shift. Ability to make decisions and works with minimal supervision. Aggressive can do attitude with willingness to work overtime and holidays when required.
