Manager, Compensation

This position reports to the VP of Compensation & Benefits and will manage and coordinate the administration of compensation programs for LPL Financial. General accountabilities include base salary and bonus administration, compensation cycle management, executive compensation and general compensation consulting and analysis. Duties: • Oversee the development and ongoing implementation of a compensation administration system including base salary, bonus and other short-term incentives and long-term incentives for over 2,500 employees; • Develop and implement policies and procedures for compensation; ensure appropriate audit procedures are in place; conduct annual audit; write/streamline processes as appropriate • Lead all compensation recommendation cycles from end-to-end including overall process and system management; tool design, testing and implementation; user and HR training; mid- and end-cycle reporting; increase and payout processing; and employee communications • Lead all compensation administration activities including but not limited to survey participation and market data maintenance, compensation analysis and consulting to HR business partners and line management, incentive plan design and review • Recommend new programs and modifications to existing programs in line with business needs, while balancing internal cost considerations with market competitiveness • Stay abreast of and respond to legislative changes impacting compensation programs • Assist with additional projects as requested, including planning and implementation, research and problem resolution, acquisition integration, responding to reporting requirements and performing cost/benefit analysis • Build and maintain effective partnerships across Human Capital organization and LPL management • Other duties as assigned • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance or a related field • 8-10 or more years of progressively responsible compensation or other related human resources experience. • Superior communication, organizational, leadership, presentation and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated excellence in vendor management, project management, problem analysis and resolution collaboration and leadership • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines • Expert level proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Excel • Demonstrated competency with compensation technology and end-to-end compensation recommendation cycle management • Knowledge of market data survey submission process and tools required • High proficiency leveraging HRIS • Experience with prior success in managing compensation activities in a large, public company preferred • Strong math, problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills • Demonstrated knowledge of HR laws, regulations, trends and methods as they relate to compensation administration. High level knowledge of FLSA, EEO and state specific wage and hour requirements. • Demonstrated progress toward CCP certification preferred     We offer an excellent salary and benefits package.
