Manager - Financial Compliance

Plans and directs activities within a finance department or division related to the coordination of activities with servicers, guarantors, disbursing agents and other third parties that the organization receives financial information from by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors. Evaluates control environment and facilitates implementation of improvements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other job related duties may be assigned. • Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to the financial operations of the organization. • Supervises and participates in the establishment of procedures used to transmit information with parties involved in the origination, disbursement and servicing of student loans. • Coordinates the interaction with third parties related to reconciling items related to student loans • Works with other departments to coordinate projects related to financial operations • Coordinates financial audits between internal/ external auditors and Finance department. • Assesses financial control environment and facilitates implementation of improvements where areas of improvement are identified. • Directs and participates in cost analysis and rate studies.Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
