Manager, HR & Benefits

Position Summary:
The Manager, HR & Benefits is responsible for ensuring that the Company is providing its employees with the highest level of benefits administration as well as overseeing all related processes and procedures. The individual must have a strong customer service focus, resolving any and all employee issues quickly and effectively.

Responsibilities would include (without limitation):
• Reviewing, assessing, developing, and implementing the Company’s benefits and other employee programs
• Implementation of all of the Company’s benefits, ensuring that the best products and services are being offered; includes understanding the current market trends on all benefits (including, but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, 401K, & vacation), researching alternative providers to assure best coverage
• Overseeing the daily administration of all benefits and COBRA for 190+ employees worldwide, including new enrollments, enrollment changes, and terminations; facilitating new hire orientation on all benefits
• Superior understanding of federal laws pertaining to benefits, such as FMLA, COBRA, ADA, etc. 
• Advising current and potential employees on all benefit questions/issues on an ongoing basis
• Overseeing workers compensation and unemployment process when applicable
• Implementing special benefit programs such as flu clinics, if, as, and when applicable
• Overseeing vacation calendar company-wide
• Creating best practices for all leave of absences

•Working closely with management to enhance the employee review process
• Implementation of the employee review process
• Reconciling monthly bills

• Liasing with recruiters and department heads

• Maintaining resume database

• Maintaining HR files

• Conduct internal training on HR matters (e.g. interviewing skills)

• Ordering and monitoring background checks for applicants

• Developing/improving/implementing employment application form
• Ad hoc projects as needed or as requested

• Developing and maintaining job descriptions for employees

• Working closely with the Legal Department on new employee contracts, employee on-boarding and off-boarding, and separation agreements and maintaining consistency throughout the firm’s global footprint

 Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superb interpersonal and project management skills
• Strong customer service focus, highly organized, responsible, and detail oriented
• Common sense approach to problem solving and prioritization
• Ability to make decisions within a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize and process a high volume of work while maintaining the highest quality
• Individual with high energy and a proactive attitude who seeks to contribute and improve efficiency in all areas
• Comfortable giving and receiving criticism
• Flexible, open-minded, and comfortable asking questions

Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:
• Five plus years of related business experience
