We also manage to keep a sense of humor along the way.  So if you’re ready for WaMu, read on!  In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and managing the implementation of quality control initiatives throughout the business unit.  You will recommend and influence strategic changes for both new and existing processes.  Under general direction, you will perform as a leader of programs involving cross functional and division initiatives and work with business analysts and managers to ensure projects are delivered as part of divisional goals. You will apply a broad knowledge of various functions to anticipate organizational impacts. Incumbent will also be responsible for identifying key trends and issues to Senior Management and work across business lines to improve quality results.  This role requires the ability to assess processes and work with business partners to implement changes which will impact internal and external customers positively.  In addition to these requirements, the incumbent will lead small to medium size projects in which they will need to meet deliverables and report frequently on status. Key Responsibilities:· Lead and champion projects for the department and participate as a key team member for corporate initiatives · Influence cross functional teams comprised of management and analyst level employees· Facilitate consensus and agreement of decisions from management relative to project progress and results expected· Demonstrate effective project management skills including presenting recommendations based on performance findings both in oral and written format· Analyze and research planned or proposed high profile, controversial and high impact changes to current business operations Minimum Skills Required:· Proven Project Management skills· Previous experience in project planning and management of small to medium-scale projects· Experience in process improvement methodologies and statistical analysis · Independent problem solving and analytical skills · Experience managing and developing direct reports· Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Proven ability to multitask with a high level of organizational skills· MS Office Proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Word) Preferred But Not Required:· Knowledge of financial services industry with focus in consumer lending, banking, or credit cards· Bachelor’s degree Washington Mutual is an equal opportunity employer.
