Manager - IT Affiliate Services

As the asset management business of the Old Mutual (US) Holdings companies, Old Mutual Asset Management (OMAM) is a multi-boutique partnership built on investment independence.  In the U.S., OMAM ($230b AUM) is comprised of 19 affiliate firms that offer high-quality, actively managed investment products in all the major asset classes and investment styles that sophisticated institutional clients and individual investors seek.  At the holding company level, OMAM focuses on value added services, providing access to best practices at no additional cost, so affiliates can minimize non investment related distractions.

 

We are currently seeking a Manager of IT Affiliate Service Delivery to join our organization.

The Manager - IT Affiliate Service Delivery will play a critical role in supporting the evaluation, creation and implementation of Old Mutual US (“OMUS”) shared IT-OPS services to member firms.  In this role, the Manager - IT Affiliate Service Delivery will work with functional groups within the IT-OPS department, primarily with the Infrastructure Group, but also with the Applications Development Group and the Investment Operations Group.  This includes managing project plans and IT-OPS shared service offerings to ensure deliverables are implemented within time, quality and financial expectations.  Additional responsibilities include managing day-to-day project activities of key IT-OPS projects between OMUS IT-OPS, key business stakeholders and vendors.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Specifically, the Manager - IT Affiliate Service Delivery will provide project planning, coordination, implementation support, administration and client service of the following shared technology solutions including but not limited to:Business Availability Solutions – 24x7 Server/Network Monitoring & ManagementIT Security – Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems / Firewall Management Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity – Leveraging OMUS Infrastructure Team and Hot-siteStrategic Vendor Cost Savings Partnerships – Microsoft, CDW, Postini, etc.Infrastructure – Partial or end-to-end Affiliate build-outs as they are migrated to the IT&OPS full service component of the Shared Platform.  This may include analysis and implementation of firewall, phone systems, email, active directory, permissions, security, applications rollout, spam, etc.

· Work with the IT-OPS team to define and implement quality assurance and reporting metrics to measure the value add of shared services programs.  Develop key activity and reporting to IT management team.

· Work with the Affiliates on training, support and enhancement of key shared services platform.

· Vendor due diligence and performance assessments for Shared Services.

· Serve as a project manager in cross-functional teams to ensure new initiatives are met within quality, time and financial expectations.

 

Requirements:

· 5-8 Years of related experience

· BA/BS Preferred

· Solid Knowledge of IT Systems Methodologies and Project ManagementBroad based IT knowledge across multiple areas including business systems, IT operations & infrastructure, applications development, security, infrastructure, etc.Financial services/asset management expertise is strongly preferredA minimum of 7 years prior IT experience managing or supporting delivery of IT solutionsProficiency in Microsoft Project, MS-Office Positive, forward looking and strong solutions orientation Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to collaborate with multiple project contributors15% travel required
