Manager, Settlement Ops

Description:Manages all facets of settlement, funds movement, chargeback accounting and suspense processing, within Service Level Agreement specifications. Provides guidance, planning and direction for unit. Maintains general ledger accounts ensuring minimal risk/operational loss. Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role.Performs duties under limited supervision, applying a broad knowledge of GAAP principles. Continuously evaluates, recommends and implements process improvements. Decisions are based on interpretation of established guidelines and operating procedures and may have significant monetary impact.Manages teams with moderate degrees of complexity. Decisions include interpretation of guidelines and operating procedures and may have a considerable impact on costs related to daily processing.Qualifications:1. Manages all facets of settlement including funds movement, chargeback accounting and suspense processing within Service Level Agreement timeframes..2. Maintains general ledger accounts in accordance with both FDC Financial Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) ensuring minimal risk/operational loss.3. Prepares various daily/weekly/monthly senior management reports regarding process, financial and staff management.4. Monitors/evaluates current processes to improve customer client satisfaction. Resolves process failure issues (i.e. Root Cause Analysis) as necessary. Investigates, gathers supporting information and presents findings to senior management as appropriate. 5. Leads multiple Settlement Operations initiatives and/or projects.6. Executes, evaluates and modifies business practices to achieve efficiencies (i.e. staff procedures and workflow).7.
