Manager, Training and Instructional Design (Permanent or Long Term Contract)
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for assessment, instructional design, curriculum development, implementation and evaluation of learning and development programs and strategies across the enterprise. - Conduct various on-going needs assessments, job and task analysis, and program re-design efforts.- Lead the design, development, and implementation of New Hire Customer Service Training curriculum, including all systems, plans, job skills and soft skills training and development activities. - Conduct ongoing Customer Service job and task analysis and enhance the curriculum based on findings. Lead strategic training, development, and performance improvement initiatives for Customer Service Team Leads and Teams. - Partner with Sr. Operations Training Project Manager to assess, plan for, and problem solve new enterprise project impacts on ongoing/existing training curriculums for all employees. - Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts during all phases of training curriculum development, pilots, and implementation. - Create and design eLearning and blended learning deliverables for new curriculums and programs. - Design and conduct train the trainer sessions on new curriculum.- Support the department manager with performance management initiatives, people strategies, training and non-training solutions, and performance gap analysis. - Utilize a system’s approach to build training and development programs: employ formal process and procedures such as performance analysis, cause analysis and organizational design for the development and deployment of training and performance programs. - Design and deliver both organization wide and targeted training and development programs. Mentor junior staff in the design and delivery of both organization wide and targeted training and development programs. - Develop survey, evaluation and ROI instruments for training, OD and Human Resource initiatives; administer instruments, provide formal analysis and reports, make recommendations. - Research new technology for implementation and development in course offerings.- Benchmark best practices and monitor current trends within the industry. REQUIREMENTS: - Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Organizational Development or related field. - Additional ISPI certifications and awards, CPT, HPT.- 7 + years success in developing and managing training programs in a corporate setting.- Strong Instructional Design experience. - Demonstrated application of leveraging instructional design work to improve performance.- Strong needs and competency analysis experience. - Experience developing both job skills and soft skills training using a variety of media including eLearning, self-study, instructor led. - Ability to lead without authority, strong influence management skills. - Demonstrated project and people management experience. - Experience measuring success in training programs. - Management experience a plus.
